Getaway to Cape May, NJ

The spring, we had an overnight getaway to Cape May, NJ. It was such a fun town to explore! We stayed at the Ocean Club Hotel and walked around town stopping at a LOT of shops and restaurants, including The Blue Pig Tavern, The Rusty Nail, Fine Fellows Creamistry, Oyster Bay Restaurant, The Lobster House, Ugly Mug, Carney's, and The Mad Batter.
We stopped to check out the Cape May Lighthouse.
Just beyond the lighthouse, there's also a bunker built by the US Army Corps of Engineers during the early months of the World War II. In the past, the beach had eroded so much that the bunker was completely surrounded by water. You can ready more at CapeMay.com.

Most of the time it was probably real bad being stuck down in a dungeon. But some days, when there was a bad storm outside, you'd look out your little window and think, "Boy, I'm glad I'm not out in THAT.'
